Organizing Conferences and Service on Conference Committees

10th Annual Conference of the Academy of International Business (AIB) Latin America and the Caribbean Chapter, Track Co-Chairperson, International HRM and diversity, Trinidad and Tobago. (May 2019 – March 2020). As part of the 3-day conference in March 2020, the track explored the utilization of the existing theories associated with the benefits of a diverse workforce.

Academy of Management (AOM) 2019 Annual Meeting, PDW Organizer, Isms in Academia: Exploring how to Foster an Inclusive Culture Inside and Outside the Classroom, Boston, United States of America. (November 2018 – August 2019). As part of the 5-day conference in August 2019, this PDW aimed to foster a discussion about how to promote an inclusive culture inside and outside the classroom.

Academy of Management (AOM) 2019 Annual Meeting, PDW Organizer, Mind the gap: Gender, embodiment and identity in organizations, Boston, United States of America. (November 2018 – August 2019). As part of the 5-day conference in August 2019, this PDW fostered a discussion about the mutual and dynamic entanglement of gender, embodiment and identity in organizations.

Academy of International Business (AIB) 2019 Annual Meeting, Panel Discussion Chairwoman, Diversity within Diversity Management, Copenhagen, Denmark (September 2018 – June 2019). As part of the 3-day conference in June 2019, this panel discussion enhanced our understanding as to how diversity and equality are managed in different national contexts.

Gender, Work and Organization 10th Biennial International Interdisciplinary Conference 2018, Track Chairperson, Gender, embodiment and identity in organizations, Sydney, Australia (September 2017 – June 2018). As part of the 3-day conference in June 2018, the track explored the embodiment of gender from a broad range of different disciplines.

10th International Conference on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, EDI 2017, Track Chairperson, Diversity, equality and inclusion in the Buffer Condition, London, United Kingdom (October 2016 – July 2017). As part of the 3-day conference in July 2017, the track assessed the role of migration in countries with conflict and evaluated the degree at which human and social rights are safeguarded.

8th International Conference on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, EDI 2015, Track Chairperson, Promulgating diversity: the role of hybridity and international business students’ and employees’ hybrid identities, Tel-Aviv, Israel (October 2014 – July 2015). As part of the 3-day conference in July 2015, the track explored how hybridity and international business students’ hybrid identities can promote or impede the promotion of diversity and solidarity.

7th International Conference on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, EDI 2014, Track Chairperson, Cultural diversity as a strategic competitive advantage, Munich, Germany (September 2013 – June 2014). As part of the 3-day conference in June 2014, the track explored how can a company actively and strategically deal with cultural diversity and inclusion.

6th International Conference on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, EDI 2013, Track Chairperson, Diversity management and performance, Athens, Greece (October 2016 – July 2017). As part of the 3-day conference in July 2017, the track explored the feasibility of a diverse executive team to retain and motivate their employees towards higher productivity and satisfaction.

Founder and Director (August 2018 – present) of the Equality, Inclusion and Diversity Center (NGO). The Center is the only one in Cyprus specializing in the areas of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Cyprus.
